November 22nd, 2008

Elie comes from Melbourne, Australia visited Design Festa Gallery! He is staying at Sakura Hotel Ikebukuro, one of our friendly hotels having our flyers, so he found our info at the hotel. He spent his first day in Japan at Design Festa vol.28 and today, which is his last day in Japan, he spent some time at our gallery! Thank you so much!! I heard we went to Fukuoka to see sumo match, which is one of the coolest things in Japan. It was a nice chat with you, Elie and we hope had a great trip in Japan. Safe flight back to Australia!

[ Event ] midnight venue…

November 8th, 2008

Now the time is 22 minutes passed two, our preparing is still going on. Information desk has been set up and beside that, the gallery booth has been set up for all artists who are looking for information ut the place to exhibit your artwork more than 2 days and seeking to communicate with many kinds of people. Please do not miss checking out this info!

Since we finished setting up very early, tonight seems so much longer, as if it is saving the energy and power for the very opening of the event so that I’m feeling this time will be very special, well of course every time is special but something different. Sure it will be lots of fun and excitement though.

Good evening, all!! We are finally at Tokyo Big Sight right now! We were luckily able to get in the venue 6 hours earlier than usual so all settings are already going. Our PC room and Office have already been set up too, so we might be able to get some sleep tonight(!?), which is usually impossible to happen to our Friday schedule. Well, keep you eye on our blog page and check the latest info form Tokyo Big Sight!!

[ gallery ] Garden’s mural is being renewaled!

August 31st, 2008

An artist Dest from California came to Japan his first time and he found our gallery on his 2nd day. On his 3rd day, which is today, he started graffiting one of the garden cafe’s wall. He paints really fast at the same time he is drinking beer and look like he is being really relaxed too. He will put some more colorful paints tomorrow to finish. Please check this out to feel west coast breeze in our gallery garden!

[ gallery ] Make it QUIRKY !!

August 17th, 2008

Qirky Spaces Exhibition has been started yesterday, which sees many small scale exhibtions in Art Piece and even wash rooms and shower rooms! And yesterday, tea room appeared on the first floor of EAST. The Kakejiku by an artist Kizan and vivid pink flower on the new Okidoko make the atmosphere really quirky! After a show heavy rain, the air got cool down and we had a nice time having Japanese sweets and Macha tea made by our boss Usuki-san. Well, looks like there are still some quirky spaces available, so you should not miss this chance to exhibit!
