He is right now trying to find contacts for an upcoming art project, because he is planning to move to Japan. The Design Festa Event was a great opportunity for him to do so.
When I spoke to him, he already was successful in networking and finding many interesting artists, doing similar things like he does. He likes Design Festa very much, being impressed that "It is very big! And everything is allowed".
I wish him good luck with his new found friends, and with the project.

Marc / Holland / google
I met Marc and Anai at the Restaurant & Cafe/Bar Area, when they have just finished lunch. Marc is from Holland, living in Ireland and working for Google. Anai is from Spain, he is working as a TV-camera operator. They currently are traveling through Japan for two weeks. They heard about the event through Design Festa Gallery in Harajuku. They are very impressed by the DF Gallery: "It's like a squat house."

They came to Design Festa Event to see international stands, enjoy the food and have fun. And they seemed like they were having lots of fun.

Miki Ichihara & Satomi Uchida / Japan / Art Student
Miki Ichihara and Satomi Uchida are two art students from Tokyo Zokei University, majoring in fine art/ painting. It was their first time at Design Festa, being invited by a friend. They expected Design Festa to be mainly about design, and being different from fine art. But now that they visited the Event, they were surprised that it has everything, not only design. "Tanoshii! Dashitai!", they said, meaning it's lot's of fun and they'd like to join. What about next time...?

I bought postcards of Mayo-pen(character figured mayonnaise bottle with penguins hands) and Share Jale's 'Dot-chan doll' I love them. I think it would be better if there were more kinds of food and places to rest.
